Our Rochester, NY studio is a fun and relaxing place to learn to make pottery in small, expert‑led classes. We offer beginner and intermediate wheel‑throwing and handbuilding courses (coil, slab, pinch), plus 5‑hour open studio sessions. Sessions run $230–$300; class size up to 10.

What’s included

  • Cone‑6 Laguna #55 stoneware, glazes (dip & brush), underglazes, and all tools

  • Hands‑on instruction: centering, throwing, trimming, glazing techniques

  • Bright studio, ample handbuilding tables, 5 electric wheels, individual attention

Classes & Open studios

  • Wheel‑Throwing: step‑by‑step instruction for beginners and improvers

  • Handbuilding: coil, slab, pinch‑pot, attachments, and glazing

  • Open Studio: Independent work sessions with instructor support

Policy & Contact

  • Makeups: One makeup class per session. If you miss a class you may come in on ONE open studio day to work independently. There will not be a lesson, per se, but you can ask for assistance. (discuss arrangements with the teacher)
